HURR GOT A TABLET :iconimhappyplz:

Just got the Bamboo Fun, as an early birthday prezie :P

I'm really excited to use it, though I don't really have Photoshop for it (other than Elements and Corel Painter, which came with it), and those programs arn't installed yet..

So this means that hopefully I'll be able to work on digotal art, and upload some new stuff (friggin' finaly! :faint:)^^;
I know I haven't been very active with art.. I haven't been drawing as much, too much work with school an all..
:D

Anyone else as excited as I am for Assasin's Creed 2?! Epic new game is Epic!!

Also, Wii Fit Plus has some pretty sick games too :P

Not much else is new really... Books are taking over my life! I love love LOVE reading :)

So anyways, not much goin' on with art, sad to say :/ I am starting art class at school next semester, so I can get back into the swing of things. Tablet is awesome!! As soon as I get my programs installed, I'll try out some digital art!

Thanks for reading!

Big Update + Surprise

Ok, so march break was pretty awesome. Chillz in Ottawa with my cousins, visited the Royal Canadian Mint, shopped, moar shopping. Then visited my grandparents in Montreal, did moar shopping, went to the Biodome + Insectarium + Botanical Gardens, and came home.

Not very much for updates artwise I've noticed, possibly because of art class in school. I'm currently working on my entry for the anti-smoking poster contest, and the picture is due tomorrow. I'm almost finished with the coloring, just have the background and lettering left. I will try to get a good pic with my camera and upload it.

School is ok... I dun wanna go baaackk!! The interesting thing is that all of the STOCK buses, which have their own union thing, are thinking of going on strike, so that means about 3/4 of the buses in the area will not be running. It's sad because they still expect us to go to school... even though half the kids cannot get to school! My bus will be running, but my younger brother will have to get a drive!

Ok, I know that I have promised a few of you free sketches, requests and so on, so I have decided that I will do a big picture with a bunch of your OCs in it. yes, I know a lot of people are already doing that, but I think it is a fair gift to those I owe requests, and to those I dont!
So please leave a comment with your OC(s) (maximum of 2 each... so far)
Any kind of OC (human, wolf, dragon, made-up-creature) is welcome! please provide a ref of your OC

March Break

Well, this year for march break, we're taking a break from going skiing at Okemo in Vermont. My brother is still going to Okemo with his friend, and my mom and I are visiting family in Ottaw and Montreal.

We're going to leave for Ottawa in a few hours to visit my cousins. We'll probably visit a few museums, go shopping (yay for massive wallack's art store!) and probably visit the Royal Canadian Mint (if you didn't know, that's were they mint the coins for our currency). We would stay there for a few days before going to Montreal to visit my grandparents. More museums, shopping etc...

I'm soo excited!

Yes, I know I have been quite dead here on DA, but I don't get much time to draw for myself, with school and all. Hopefully I'll draw a lot during the break (and finish my poster for the contest).

In other news, an EA (educational assistant) at my old school is writing children's books, and he asked if I could illustrate them! I'm soo excited! We're supposed to meet after the break (we were going to meet yesterday, but he forgot he was busy).

Okay, since I've watched the movie Eagle Eye, I've kinda-sorta-maybe become a little obsessed with Shia LaBeouf... ahahaha he was awesome in that movie!! Aand the movie itself was amazing! If you liked the Bourne movies, you'll love this one! Basically, in Eagle Eye, two starngers are 'activated' and are forced to complete a series of tasks as isntructed by a mysterious woman who seems to know everything about them. It's interesting to watch and easy to relate to as it is centered on technology and what could happen if it got into the wrong hands.
That was a bad summary... if you want to know more, just Google it, I guess

Oh and if anyone is looking for a good book to read, I would suggest Dust of 100 Dogs by A.S King. It's a really interesting book, especially if you like pirates! I would definatly suggest it to anyone.

Well, I'll be online for awhile longer, cleaning out my messages and stuff. I will hopefully have drawings and pictures to post when I get back! Have an awesome march break!

Where are you going/what are you doing this march break??

Devious Journal Entry

Ok, I needed to write another journal ;P

So I had exams a few weeks ago, mah birthday (Jan 26th), started new semester and started after school art class again :D

Exams were ok... I didn't have enough time to finish writing my geography exam, and left some stuff out in math (math sucks!) and french was really good... except my average went down a bit... it's still way up there so I'm all good ;P

So this semester I have english, art, religion and science. English is actually pretty good; we're reading The Crhysalids by John Whydham and so far it's a great book! Art... wow don't even get, me started on art class!!! I can't stand my teacher!! Maann he is such a self-centered idiot!! He never says ANYTHING nice about anyone's art, not even "oh, that's an interesting concept!" or "I like what you're doing" or even "the coloring is good." Oh, and he started our fisrt class off by generously talking about his favourite theme in-depth -himself. :iconfacepalmplz: puleez!! He never writes notes on the board, and he teaches and explains things in the most obscur way. He told us that we were supposed to fold the top right-hand corner, and write specific info on the back (our first, last name, date we got the assignment, title etc...) But then he gets upset the next day because everyone had creased their paper when they were folding the corner. "No! No!! you're supposed to flip it over!!" but of course the day before he specifically said "fold the corner"
*sigh* he's also very obessed with taking away marks from students! If we SNEEZE we loose marks. wtf??

Anyways, religion is ok, but if we're late to class, we have a choice of singing a solo in front of the class (can't be 'ABCs' or anything like that) or a study hall and a call to parents :lmao: Today 2 kids were late, and they both picked study halls!!

Sscience is sooo bad!! My teacher frequently suppliy taught at my old school, as well as at my high school. She's almost impossible to understand, and FINALLY, I understand what we were supposed to learn at the beginning of the week!

Ah well, I'll get used to my courses and teachers, though my art teacher is pissing me off.

I'll post stuff later, I don't have too much time, and not very much during the week eaither, with homework and all.

Oh maann I feel like crap |: ( blegh...

Yea, lots of stiff's been happening these past few days. On monday, my uncle passed away :( I didn't really know him to well, but I'm still really upset. He had it coming though; he had cirrocous(sp??) of the liver, which is when the liver basically dies because of an excess in drinking over many, many years. lawl, it's funny how we learned about this in health class last week :P
When my Dad was at my grandma's house, he slipped down the stairs (snow and linolium flooring DO NOT mix!) and he managed to crack a few ribs, get a few scrapes. He's fine, all but the fact that he has neumonia(sp??), and he has to cough, but he hates it because it hurst soo much, with the cracked ribs and all. So he's been sleeping a lot more, but he's going to be okay. Haha, at least the accident hasn't dampened his sense of humour :)
It'll probably be about 6 weeks before his ribs heal.

It kinda sucks 'cuz I've been in a sorta null mood, not really motivated to draw, read or do Wii Fit lately. :( it really sucks. plus, my limewire kinda died, and the connection is soo bad, I don't get any results from the search :( I'll probably just uninstall it and reinstall it later

Maaannn I have exams soon!! I've got geography on friday at 8:30 in the morning, and then french on the same day at noon. Then I get a break 'til monday, when I have to write my math exam at 8:30 in the morning. Which sucks, seeing as it's my birthday :( Now, for the next 4 or so years, I won't get a decorated locker, or get to celebrate my b-day at school :(

lawl look at all of the sad frowny faces xD
And now have a cold P:< ewwie it's grooosss x(

soo yea.. if you don't see much art for a little bit, it's either because I am:
1) studying for exams (hardcore studying)
2) too sick/unmotivated to draw
or
3) no time to do much (this kinda ties in with studying)

whelp, I shall be going now. I'll still be online, checking my messages and what-not, but I don't think I'll have the time to post anything or reply as much ^^;
Talk to you soon!!
