My "political cartoon" for civics class.. woo summer school xD lawl yea.. no I didn't fail, I just wanted to get the damn careers/civics course done with D<
Woo, yea we had to find a newspaper article that had something to do with politics and draw a political cartoon for it. I went for the most common style, shading with lines and cross-hatching. It was actually really fun, an interesting project Mine was based on bottled vs. tap water (tap water FTW), but because it had to be an actuall newspaper article, I chose our city's ban on plastic water bottles in municipal facilities. The ban hasn't been enforced yet, but they're getting there, trying to build a bunch of fountains and things.. yea tap water is actually better, as it is inspected eveyday by the city. Some people say it tatses bad, but that is usually caused by the plumbing in your house, like copper piping, as well as the actuall water quaility. Some rural areas have dirtier water so tha can affect it too..
Gawd, tho, I need to get into the habit of using the reusable water containers.. but mine leaks all the time D8
I reallly love how it turned out! I would have liked to color it, but it might take away from it, what with all the detail already.. as you can see, one side shows the affects of plastic water bottles, especially to the environment when they get thrown into the garbage. And they are manufactured and sold for thousands of times the cost of tap water, which is virtually free. On the tap water side, the environment is clean, and anyone who is paronoid of "tap water germs" and stuff can just use a brita filter or boil the water!
Yea, my teacher asked to keep the drawing xD lawl, and I couldn't really think of a caption or any quotes or sayings to write.. so it's up to the way you interpret it I guess
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
